Maerdy Community Primary School

Dream. Believe. Achieve

Working In Partnership

At Maerdy Community Primary School we believe that by working in partnership with others we achieve the best for our children. Obviously our greatest partnership must be with you our parents. By working together we hope to make the learning experiences of our children a happy one. We regularly arrange information sharing sessions for parents to keep you up to date with current practice and ways to support your child at school. We hold parents evenings twice a year and hold additional reviews for Individual Development Plan. You will receive a formal end of year report. This school has an open door policy and we encourage you to discuss any concerns with us anytime throughout the school year. Parents are also invited to special events throughout the year. Mrs Kelly James and Mrs Cara Thomas have been employed with the sole responsibility of supporting parents. She should be your first point of contact in most cases. She will arrange parent/child learning sessions and invite parents to school for information sharing throughout the year. We are fortunate that staff and parents have always worked side by side for the benefit of all the children. We communicate with parents via text message, facebook, letter,See Saw or phone call.
